Across our Nation

Tim and Kim Wardell, serve as Pass Creek Church of God, Allen, South Dakota, missionaries to the Oglala Lakota Sioux Nation. They live just on the border of the reservation and live alongside the Native American people offering support, a food-pantry, and hope is a culture that battles addiction and a high suicide rate.

Connection Point Church made our first trip to work along with them in September, 2017 to restore two abandoned buildings to functional bunk-houses for men and women. To find out more about the Wardell's and their mission, check out their website on Church of God Ministries here

2019 Mission Trip - Allen, SD

Pine Ridge Indian reservation

From July 5th through July 13th approximately 30 members of Connection Point caravaned to the Pine Ridge Reservation at Allen, South Dakota to serve alongside Tim and Kim Wardell and minister to the Oglala Lakota Sioux people. We laughed, played, and learned with 100 children in a Bible School week that included learning, a lot of fun, wacky science experiments and some wholesome food.  Another team completely gutted and rebuilt/remodeled the kitchen of one of the tribe's elders. The construction included plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, paint, flooring, and other tasks as needed.
